Arabe Unido loans Panama int’l Arroyo to Colombia’s Tolima

COLON, Panama – Panama international Abdiel Arroyo will travel to Colombia to begin a one-year loan with Primera A side Tolima, his club Arabe Unido announced Monday.

The 22-year-old forward – capped 17 times -- most recently played at the Copa America Centenario, appearing in three games and scoring once against eventual-champion Chile.

Arroyo debuted with Arabe Unido in 2010 and remained with the 12-time Panamanian champion until January 2016, when he was loaned to Croatia’s RNK Split.

The Expreso Azul is scheduled to open 2016/17 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League play on August 17 at Mexico’s Monterrey. Arroyo has three all-time goals in the competition.
