SAN MIGUEL, El Salvador – Salvadoran champion Dragon announced Monday the signing of goalkeeper Henry Hernandez as the club prepares to open the 2016 Apertura season and its first-ever participation in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League.
The El Salvador international had spent the previous four years with Isidro Metapan, winning four domestic league titles and appearing in the last three SCCL editions.
Hernandez has also competed for Atletico Marte, Aguila, Luis Angel Firpo and Alianza.
With El Salvador, the 31-year-old played in the 2014 Central American Cup (4 games) and four World Cup qualifiers, including a pair of 1-0 wins over Curacao last September in third-round play for Russia 2018.
Dragon kicks off its 2016/17 SCCL schedule on August 3 at the Portland Timbers.
