SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras – Real España and Honduras Progreso overcame first-leg losses to earn places in the 2017 Honduran Clausura semifinals with wins over Real Sociedad and Marathon, respectively on Saturday.

- Days after making his international debut for Trinidad & Tobago, Jerrel Britto (31’) scored the only goal as Honduras Progreso posted a 1-0 win over Marathon at the Estadio Humberto Micheletti.
- The 24-year-old Britto poked in from the doorstep after a Honduras Progreso corner kick taken by by Carlos Sanchez bounced around the penalty area in pinball-like fashion.
- After winning the first leg at home 1-0, Marathon needed only a draw to progress.
- Honduras Progreso is unbeaten in its last six home games (4W-2D-0L), including three straight wins.
- Honduras Progreso will meet regular-season Olimpia in the semfinals.

Real España advances to semifinals (agg: 5-3)

- Real España exploded for three second-half goals to beat visiting Real Sociedad at the Estadio Francosco Morazan, 4-1, and advance to the semifinals, 5-3 on aggregate.
- Edder Delgado gave the host a 1-0 lead just 47 seconds into the match with a splendid right-footed effort from 35 yards that cruised into the upper-left corner.
- Bryan Acosta doubled Real España’s advantage in the 59th minute with a laser, but Rony Martinez got behind the defense to halve the deficit in the 80th minute.
- Angel Tejeda (83', header) and Wilfredo Barahona (90’, right foot) netted late insurance goals to seal the victory.
- After winning the first leg at home, 2-1, Real Sociedad needed only a draw to progress.
