Report: SCL Teams during the weekend of July 28, 29 2018

MIAMI.- During the weekend, some of the 16 teams participating in the 2018 Scotiabank Concacaf League SCL, had action in their local leagues.

The teams from Jamaica, Portmore United and Arnett Gardens, the Franciscain Club of Martinique as well CD Walter Ferretti and Diriangen from Nicaragua and Belmopan Bandits from Belize,were not active.

Santa Tecla from El Salvador, FC Motagua from Honduras, Deportivo Arabe Unido from Panama, Santos De Guapiles and Perez Zeledon from Costa Rica, will arrive motivated to the first leg of the round of 16, after having managed to win during the weekend.

The action began on Friday at the Rommel Fernandez Stadium in Panama City where Tauro FC fell 2-1 to San Francisco. Marcos Anibal Sanchez gives the lead to Tauro FC in the 22nd minute, before Christian David Zuniga in the 36th minute and Jhamal Rodríguez in the 49th gave the victory to the visiting team.

Tauro FC will start the round of 16 on Thursday, August 2, against Real España of Honduras who drew 1-1 against Juticalpa FC on Sunday at the Juan Ramon Breve Stadium in Catacamas, Olancho.

The Uruguayan Maximiliano Callorda in his debut with Real España scored to tie the game in the 64th minute after Maylor Nuñez scored to the home team in the 45th minute.

FC Motagua leaned on Paraguayan striker Roberto Moreira who scored the 1-0 win over Platense on Saturday at the Estadio Nacional where the Aguilas will host the Belmopan Bandits on Tuesday.

With two goals from Rafael Rodriguez 26 and 57 minutes, Perez Zeledon won 2-1 at the Alejandro Morera Soto to Alajuelense. ADM Perez Zeledón visits on Tuesday the FAS CD that drew 0-0 against the Alianza in Cuscatlan.
