ALAJUELA, Costa Rica – A last second Perez Zeledon own goal earned CD FAS a trip to the 2018 Scotiabank CONCACAF League quarterfinals following a 1-1 draw in their Round of 16 second leg on Tuesday night at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

On the last kick of the game, a cross from FAS’s Guillermo Stradella was redirected into the Perez Zeledon net by DF Keilor Soto, giving CD FAS a 3-2 win on aggregate.

Anthony Lopez initially looked like he would be the hero for the home side, as he fired in a sensational left-footed strike to give the Costa Ricans a 1-0 advantage in the 63rd minute, but the visitors from El Salvador never threw in the towel and got the decisive goal in the waning moments.

CD FAS will face either Arabe Unido or Arnett Gardens in the quarterfinals
