MAZATENANGO, Guatemala – Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League debutant Suchitepequez on Saturday added a player to its roster with experience in the competition, announcing the acquisition Amaury Escoto from Queretaro.
The attacking midfielder, while on loan at Tigres, made two appearances in the 2015/16 SCCL, both against Isidro Metapan.
Escoto, 23, competed for Cafeteleros – also on loan from Queretaro – during the 2016 Ascenso MX Clausura. He scored one goal in 11 outings, coming on as substitute 10 times.
Suchitepequez, which announced the signings of forward Julian Lalinde and goalkeeper Stefano Perdomo on Friday, will face Group H rivals Real Esteli and FC Dallas in the 2016/17 SCCL.
