SAN JOSE, Costa Rica – Saprissa announced Monday that Trinidad & Tobago international Aubrey David has left the club to join Finnish side PS Kemi Kings.
The 26-year-old defender played for the Costa Rican power from February-July 2016, before he was loaned to FC Dallas, where he competed in two 2016/17 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League games.
David returned to Saprissa at the end of the loan, but was not on the club’s official 2017 Costa Rican Verano roster.
Prior to signing for the Monstruo Morado, David spent two years in Europe, playing for Finland’s FF Jaro (2014) and Kazakhstan’s Shakhter Karagandy (2015). He started his career with Trinidad’s South End (2009) and has also appeared with Caledonia AIA – another Trinidadian club -- in two editions of the SCCL (2012/13, 2013/14).
With T&T, David has competed in the FIFA U-17 World Cup (2007), the FIFA U-20 World Cup (2009), two CONCACAF Gold Cups (2013, 2015) and two Caribbean Cups (2012, 2014).
