MIAMI – CONCACAF and TSN announced Tuesday a multi-year agreement naming TSN the official rights partner for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League. The deal makes TSN the exclusive Canadian broadcaster for the region’s most important national team and club team championships.
“With their coast-to-coast reach and an emphasis across platforms on marquee sporting events like the Gold Cup and the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, TSN is an ideal partner for our Confederation in the important Canadian market,” said CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani. “We have seen some great performances over the years from Canadian teams in both the Gold Cup and the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, so we’re pleased that TSN will be bringing all the action to the growing Canadian audience for years to come.”
TSN network’s Canada-wide coverage of this year’s Gold Cup kicks off July 7 with Canada-French Guiana at 7 p.m. Canada captured its only CONCACAF Gold Cup title in 2000, and TSN will follow the team this summer as it competes against a field that features perennial soccer powers Mexico, Costa Rica, and host nation USA. TSN’s live coverage culminates with the final on July 26 from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

TSN also becomes the exclusive Canadian home of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, following the nation’s teams throughout the competition and featuring live coverage of the final. Sixteen clubs will compete for regional superiority from February-May 2018.
Additionally, TSN acquired Canadian rights for the upcoming inaugural edition of the Scotiabank CONCACAF League. Beginning August 2017, sixteen Central American and Caribbean clubs will participate in this new annual tournament that ends in October. Other matchups will be announced this summer as part of TSN’s CONCACAF Gold Cup and Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League broadcast schedules.
Live streaming and on-demand viewing of CONCACAF Gold Cup and Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League matches will also be available to TSN subscribers via the TSN GO mobile app and on TSN.ca.
Soccer United Marketing (SUM), Major League Soccer’s commercial arm and partner of CONCACAF for more than a decade, negotiated the agreement.
