After playing in the last two editions of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League (SCCL), Central FC will compete in the first-ever Scotiabank CONCACAF League.
In order to qualify, the Sharks finished fourth in the 2017 Caribbean Club Championship with an overall record of 1W-1D-1L (5GF, 4GA). Jason Marcano scored a team-best two goals in the competition, while Carlos Edwards, Nathaniel Garcia and Keston George added one each.
In eight all-time SCCL games, Central FC has posted a 1W-2D-5L (7GF, 17GA) record, with the lone win (1-0) coming against visiting Comunicaciones on September 17, 2015. Ataullah Guerra (61’) scored the game’s only goal in the second half.
Central FC has captured three Trinidad & Tobago league titles (2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17) and two Caribbean crowns (2015, 2016).
